Hello friends,
I’m so pleased to announce the arrival of Brenna Rose, born 08/20/2022 — two weeks before her due date. The birth and recovery went well, and we are so grateful for the new addition to our family.
We had a photographer take some beautiful photos for us. I love how our family photos turned out. 🙂
Big sister Aria, now 2.5 years old, has been pretty infatuated with baby Brenna. 🙂 And she’s a big helper to me, too!
The next photo might look a little bit familiar, because I asked the photographer to take a similar shot of Aria when she was born (view it here). Of course, I wanted to recreate the shot with Brenna this time around!
We’ve been enjoying our time adjusting to life as a family of four! I’m on maternity leave from teaching until November. Babies are a lot of work, but wonderful at the same time.
I know it’s been a little bit quiet here on my blog lately. As I’ve mentioned once before, I’m continuing to work on a big project — which will likely be ready to unveil before the year’s end. In the meantime, my blogging will probably be a little bit sporadic. Hope you don’t mind. 🙂

Congratulations Joy! What a beautiful baby!!! I am very happy for you. My youngest is now 16, and I really have treasured each moment. I am teaching her Debussy’s La Fille aux Cheveaux de Lin and Rachmaninoff’s Humoresque. When they get to high school, what with their activities and all, it is so difficult to maintain a disciplined practice schedule.
