Freebie: Lesson Attendance Sheet Updated for 2022-23

I just updated one of the studio business forms from my Printables page for the 2022-23 school year.  It is called the Lesson Attendance & Payment Sheet PDF.  Even though I don’t personally use this sheet myself anymore (I now charge a monthly flat tuition rate), every year I receive requests from teachers asking if I would please update it for the upcoming school year. And I’m happy to do so!

In case you haven’t seen this from before, here is how it works: Write your students’ names in the first column.  Each week, write the lesson date (in a month / date format) in the column for that week.  This is how you can track attendance.  The small circles in each cell are where you can write checkmarks indicating tuition payments.  Whether you charge by-the-week or by-the-month, you can place a checkmark by each paid lesson date.

Download it below or on the Printables > Studio Business page.

  1. Laughed out loud when I read the “cookies again” line. I just marked the start of my 4th decade (dear Lord! Where did that time go!?) of teaching. I feel as if I’ve glittered and drizzled myself deja vu all over again! Thanks, always, for your fresh perspectives and JOYful attitude! Happy Holidays to you and your expanded family!

  2. I really enjoy your blog! You always give great ideas and this time I especially liked the holiday gift ideas. It’s hard finding the right thing for piano students. I have also enjoyed your upbeat attitude and ideas for saving time and energy with the business part of the studio. Thank you for all you do!

  3. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas. I am certainly going to use your ideas especially for the Christmas gifts. I am preparing another Christmas program and this will make my sixth virtual recital! This year I plan to do two recitals… One for the kids, and then another for the adults since I have an influx of adult students recently. I will marvel at all you do especially with your expanding family. I am looking forward to future endeavors of yours!
    Thanks again!.

  4. Hi Joy. I’ve been using your attendance sheets for years! Will you be adding the ’23-’24 year one soon? Thanks so much!

    1. I loved it too! Was wondering the same thing. I don’t use it to track payments, but I do use it for tracking attendance, and counting how many lessons I offered the student (whether they attended or not) – I keep track of 25 lessons for my students as my guaranteed amount of teaching time for their monthly tuition. So, this lesson sheet was super helpful – easier than going back in My Music Staff (where I also track attendance digitally).
