Hello, fellow piano teachers!
I hope you’ve missed me during my blogging hiatus. 🙂 My husband and I are now happily moved to northwest Ohio, where we are renting a lovely old three-bedroom house within walking distance of downtown. We have so much more space here versus our one-bedroom apartment back in Michigan, and let me tell you – this house was made for running a piano studio! Lots of photos are coming soon, so stay tuned.
So, what have I been up to the last few days/weeks?
- Unpacking boxes. ‘Nuff said.
- Organizing piano studio books and materials.
- Creating/updating studio documents (policies, forms, etc.).
- Updating my piano studio website.
- Buying a used grand piano (!!!).
- Putting “Piano Lessons” posters all over town.
- Giving a piano lesson to my first new student.
I do have one sneak peek photo to show you for now……………
These are exciting times! I feel like I have so much to share. I hope you’ll stay tuned. 🙂

I have definitely missed you! I can’t wait to see your pics and hear all your news! And your piano- a Kawai! I played a Kawai in college and loved it….you’ll have to tell us the story of how you found it and knew it was the right one. 🙂 Your house sounds lovely too…:)
Thanks so much, Leah! More on the piano purchase is coming tomorrow. 😀
Welcome back Joy- and congratulations on your new home, new piano, and all the exciting changes in your life! 🙂
Thanks, Sarah! It feels great to be back!!
Happy to see your post today! What an exciting time for you! I enjoy your post very much.
Thank you, Becky! Lots more photos are coming this week. 🙂
What a beautiful room!
What a lovely home and grand piano! I’m so excited for you and look forward to hearing about your newly set-up studio!
Thanks, Julia!!
My husband and I will be moving in two years, leaving behind our many many connections to this community . . . as well as all the piano studio connections. Sometime, when you’re really settled in, could you post about how you started up your studio in a new town?
Sure thing, Maria! Some posts about marketing and setting up after a move after coming soon. 🙂
Ahh! I love it! The house looks adorable, and yay for a grand piano! I’m so excited for you – and glad to have you back to blogging, too. 🙂
Thanks, Natalie!!
