Celebrating 3 Years!

Today marks the three-year anniversary of Color In My Piano!  HOORAY!  It’s been such an exciting year, and I’m so thrilled to have been able to share my experiences with you all.  Thank you all for your support and for making this blog such a fun place to share resources and ideas with each other.  I can hardly believe Color In My Piano has been online for three years already.

Giveaway Extension and More

This week is a busy week for me – my Masters recital is on Saturday (wish me luck!) and so I am taking most of this week off from blogging.  I did want to let you know, however, that I am extending the giveaway of the music blanket which my sister made.  The new deadline is January 27 at midnight.  There aren’t many entries yet – so the chances of winning are pretty high!  Visit the original post to view the entry requirements.  Please consider entering the giveaway and visiting my sister Heather’s Etsy page here to view all of her other wonderful handmade items.  She is new at the whole Etsy thing, but has been having a lot of fun doing it so far!

January 2011 Free Giveaway: Glass Magnets

I’m pleased to announce a new blog giveaway!

The magnets pictured in this post are handcrafted by yours truly.  I gave similar sets away to my piano students as Christmas gifts this year.  Each set includes a pair of magnets that were created using vintage sheet music.

Just checking in….

Hello all,

Just a brief update for today, as my husband and I are in the middle of moving to a new apartment!  This week’s posts will be not as intensive as usual.  Hopefully, we will be more settled by this weekend, and next week’s posts will return to normal.

May 2010 Free Giveaway: Drawing Music Symbols Boards

I am excited to announce the first ever free giveaway on the Color In My Piano blog!  *drumroll…*

THREE lucky winners will each be mailed a pair of laminated boards for learning and drawing music symbols.  (You may recall when I blogged about these boards here. I am keeping my set, of course, but I went back to buy more to share with you!)  These boards have a lot of potential for team games at group lessons or summer piano camps, or can simply be used during the private lesson.  They are two-sided — one side shows the symbols and their names, and the other side lists the names but leaves a blank staff for the student to draw the symbol.  Both sides are laminated to allow use with a dry-erase marker.

Unfortunately, because the prize is such a odd-shaped object and is expensive to ship, this giveaway is limited to readers from the continental U.S. only.
