On Friday, I drove to the Cleveland area to speak for a meeting of the Cleveland Piano Teachers Organization. It was just an hour-and-a-half drive and the roads were clear of any snow until I neared Cleveland. I presented my “Albums for the Young: A History and Overview of the Genre” program, sharing the history of children’s music and some well-known and lesser-known teaching gems.
The ClevelandPTO is a wonderful group that reminded me of the Toledo Piano Teachers Association of which I am a member. A small but close-knit group of teachers!
The meeting was held at a beautiful library meeting room that has a projector/screen and a nice piano.
Thanks to the ClevelandPTO for their warm hospitality and kindness during my visit!
I hope I’ll get to see this lecture program sometime! It sounds great.
This sounds like a great idea – a lending library of books, music, etc. No PTO near where I live, so maybe I’ll have to start one!
Glad it was a productive and enjoyable day, Joy.
Thanks, Alan! Great idea to start your own PTO in your area. I think it is worth pursuing the idea!
