Sample Studio Newsletter

A reader asked if I could share a sample of a studio newsletter, so here’s a few screenshots!  Click the thumbnails below to view each page larger:

For most newsletters, I also include a list of music events going on in the community.  I think it’s great for students and their families to hear and be inspired by good performances!  Here’s a post with other ideas for what to include in studio newsletters.

I created this newsletter using a template in Microsoft Word.

  1. Nice newsletter! And I love your little blurb about counting out loud – I’ve had a couple of students this week really struggle with counting out loud (too timid, etc.) and I love your nice, concise explanations of why it’s helpful. Thanks! 🙂

  2. Hello,
I love your template. How did you make it using Microsoft Word? I also need to make some templates for our company and needed few websites for this purpose. Hope you can help 🙂

    Thanks

    1. Hello Anum, It was a few years ago, but I used the built-in templates that come with Microsoft Word. When I finished it, I saved the newsletter as a PDF and emailed it to my students. I hope that is the info you are looking for.

  3. Hello Joy! Your sight is a wealth of information. Thank you so much for posting. I am just beginning this year to do a newsletter for my students/parents. I loved your thoughts on practicing and counting aloud. May I have your permission to copy your practicing tips?
