Piano transcription from the Pixar movie “Up” soundtrack

I recently had a student ask if she could learn to play some of the music from Pixar movie “Up” soundtrack.  (Have you seen this movie?  It’s a super cute family movie!  Keep a box of tissues nearby.)  I get pretty excited when I have student who requests to learn a piece of music, and so I immediately turned to Google to see what I could find.

The soundtrack was composed by Michael Giacchino.  You can enjoy the theme “Married Life” in the video below:

A quick google search informed me that someone (his name is Jorvic Ramos) has already transcribed and arranged it for easy piano.  His version includes three different themes from the movie.  It’s a pretty good arrangement.  You can watch it here:

You can download his free transcription in pdf form here, by clicking “Click here to start download.”

For a shorter version of just the main theme from “Married Life,” click here.

What music have you found for your students recently?
